While Spring has yet to arrive, it’s time to start thinking about gardening, summer events, and vacations. I have started thinking and planning all of those things. It’s also a good time to start thinking about selling your home. In order to get your asking price; here are a few good tips. Neglected exterior maintenance, chipped paint, clogged gutters, torn screens. Dingy lighting; buyers aren’t going to notice the crown molding or pro paint job if they can’t see them. You want the home to feel inviting, like you aren’t hiding anything. A cluttered kitchen; put dishes away, clear the counters. Buyers want to feel at home. Pet or cooking odors make buyers run. Painting neutral colors are a plus, and it makes the home feel larger. Empty rooms; leave some furniture strategically place. Dirty driveways; clean it up along with the yard. It’s going to be the first thing a prospective buyer sees when pulling up to their new home. Want more tips? Stay tuned.
